Meet the Founder
Gabe is an ISA Certified Arborist, plant science educator, and lifelong lover of growing plants, being in nature, and caring for the land.
He’s worked in the "green industry" since he was 15, beginning his journey at the USDA Agricultural Research Service. After years of experience in arboriculture, plant health, and sustainable landscapes—including starting a community farm in Oʻahu—Gabe realized something powerful: if it’s possible to grow a food forest in Hawaiʻi, it’s possible here, too. And that’s exactly where Gabe learned mālama ʻāina — care for the land — a central principle in Hawaiian culture that he now carries into Fruit & Flower EcoFarm.
Care for the land. Care for the community. Care for our future
The Spark
Gabe’s passion for growing began early, tending vegetable gardens and sharing harvests with friends, family, neighbors and even co-found a garden group - GardenBros.
Coming from a family who once worked the fields to give their children a better life, Gabe feels called to return to those same roots — this time, to grow for others.
Gabe’s work in arboriculture, native plants, and regenerative farming has been featured in:
Kingsburg Recorder
“I’m trying to show people that if you really enjoy something and you’re passionate about it, it’s still possible to succeed — even in ways that give back to the land and community.”
